Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not save a separate copy of those searches on our servers. A message sent to us contains only what you choose to provide, and we use that information to answer the message.
Information Logged Automatically
Normal hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp. Aggregated log data helps us maintain the site and see which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those functions apply.
How the Data Is Used
We use this limited information to run the service, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not create personal visitor profiles or sell a visitor list.
Privacy on Linked Services
Government portals, Onslow County and North Carolina offices, library collections, and outside search tools apply their own privacy terms. Information entered after following a link is controlled by that destination’s policy. The same is true for sponsored results, which come from an independent provider.
Who Processes Visitor Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising services may receive the automatic data already described. We may disclose information in response to valid legal process, but otherwise do not share visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and server logs are retained only as long as the stated operational purposes require. Since the site has no user accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has submitted such information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Your residence may give you rights to inspect, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. North Carolina had no verified comprehensive consumer data-deletion law as of July 28, 2026. Its protections are record-specific, including identity and security provisions in G.S. 75-61 through 75-66 and online-record redaction in G.S. 132-1.10. We can search our contact mailbox and applicable logs for information we control. Submit that request through the Contact page. Onslow County, North Carolina agencies, and other custodians control their own public records, so correction or redaction requests for those files must go to the responsible office.
